Mustang Jomsom to Tilicho Lake Trekking Route
Jomsom to Thini: 2 km. Up to this part, the route is great and the view is wonderful of the Jomsom and Kali Gandaki Valley. The trail above Thini is off-the-beaten and truly isolated.
Based on the experience of the trekkers, the water source above Thini is on 10 km, so, it’s important to carry enough water.
Now, with the initiation of the local government and ACAP, there are signboards and marks on the route. The trek is not for beginners, as it is a tough climb. You need to cross the streams several times and walk on the zig-zagged route. Spending an overnight at 4600 meters alpine meadow, you cross the Meso Kato La (5245 meters) in the next morning, and there lies the giant Himalayan Lake- Tilicho.
After exploring around the Tilicho Lake, you will have an option to trek towards Manang Annapurna side or retracing through the same route to Jomsom.
Food and Accommodation
The last point you can sleep in the guest house is at Thini village, where you can eat at the guest house or restaurant. Above Thini, there needs to do camping and you need to pack all the logistics- food and clothes. You can pack dry foods, chocolates, coffee, and noodles and so on. Along with it, you need to carry camping gas, so you can cook food while camping.
