Annapurna Base Camp Trekking has become the most popular trekking in Nepal for mild-adventure lovers. Sometimes it becomes adventurous, especially in the winter after the heavy snowfall. You may need to wear crampons. Otherwise, it is an ideal trip to the Annapurna region of Nepal.
Best Seasons Vs Monsoon
Spring and Autumn are the best seasons for the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) Trek. It begins from March April and up to May as a season and September, October, November, and December as other good seasons. So what during monsoon and mid-winter?
June, July, and August are known as the monsoon season in Nepal. Trekking in Monsoon is not so easy, especially in Annapurna, because it is the most rain-falling area in Nepal. However, it rains mostly around the evening, which means you have already reached the camps, in many cases. You can enjoy the trek also in monsoon equally, but the preparations should be done in of raincoat. You should have a mindset that you can do it although it rains.
How Long Does it Take?
It depends on where to begin and which route will you take. Normally, it is a 1-week journey from Pokhara to Pokhara. But another route can be 9-10 days from Pokhara.
