How to know if I'm fit enough to trek?

Trekking requires good physical fitness. It means you should be able to walk 5-7 hours a day. If you have adverse health, it is not suitable for the altitude trek, so choose lower altitude trekking. To ensure that you can go to the high altitude, visit your doctor and get pieces of advice.

How can we get acclimatized in high altitude?

Well, there are several ways that you can follow. Nepal Kameleon Holidays applies some of the easiest ways for acclimatization. Trek high sleep low is our method of trekking. Another way is to take a rest and acclimatization day and you can walk around that habituates your acclimatization level. It is the most important part. Eating foods with soup and drinking warm soups keep you warm and energized.

What if I get altitude sickness or any injuries during trekking?

High altitude sickness if often asked question. And it is in fact really necessary to know about this matter. Our guide applies first aid treatment, and if it is an emergency and do not have another way out of the medical access, helicopter evacuation is the ultimate way. But, you need to know that it is an emergency. Otherwise, trekking down or taking a rest day can be effective.

Are solo female travelers safe on Himalayan excursion?

What should I pack for the trekking?

What foot wears are recommended?

Comfortable boots with thick soles and warm woolen socks are necessary for trekking. If it is alpine altitude, bring more spare socks. It is easy for you to bring slippers and change at the lodge.

How much a porter carry?

Generally, porters carry 15-20 kg of baggage in the trekking. It can be more in altitude trekking. Avoid unnecessary equipment and put them in the hotel's storage or the locker.

How much money should I bring along?

We provide food and accommodation along with any transportation service on fully inclusive trips. However, if the trip is extended in your interest or due to an unavoidable situation, you need to cover the extra cost. Also, if you want to have the things not included in our cost, it is easy for you. So, bring some cash with you.

What communication options can be found on the trekking route?

Mobile phone connections are available in many parts of Nepal nowadays. Besides this, internet wifi connections are spreading throughout the country. So, communication service is easily accessible on most trekking routes.

Where do we eat our meals?

Tea house serves the meals as well. They offer extended menu with the typical Nepali food items to the continental cuisine.

Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek - Itinerary

Day01 Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m).

You will be received by our airport representative and transfer you to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day02 Kathmandu Sightseeing and Trek Preparation.

Kathmandu sightseeing trip includes some of the UNESCO-listed world heritage sites- Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, and Swayambhunath Stupa. After sightseeing, back to the hotel and prepare for the upcoming trek. Overnight at the hotel.

Day03 Fly from Kathmandu – Lukla, trek to Phakding (2,652m), 3 - 4 hrs

The first part is to fly from Kathmandu to Lukla. It's only a half an hour's flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. Landing at the Himalayan airstrip, begin the trek through the magnificent landscape, especially dominated by the open fields, some sherpa inhabitants and enjoying the sound of Dudh Koshi River. Crossing a suspension bridge, reach Phakding and take a rest. Overnight at the hotel.

Day04 Trek from Phakding - Namche Bazaar (3440m), 5 - 6 hrs

The journey embarks from Phakding after having breakfast. The trail is almost uphill and includes a couple of amazing suspension bridges with colorful prayer flags. The official entrance to the Sagarmatha National Park begins from Jorsalle. Namche Bazaar a continuously uphill climb hereafter, which is the headquarters of the Khumbu region. Overnight at the hotel.

Day05 Namche Bazaar Acclimatization Day.

Altitude adaptation is essential to avoid high altitude sickness and at the same time, an exploration day around Namche Bazaar offers major highlights of the Sherpa people, lifestyles, and hospitality. The exploration hike roams around Everest View Hotel, Khumjung, Khunde, and Hillary school. Even the hike is great for exploring the majestic view of the Everest Himalayan chain, including Ama Dablam, Mt. Everest, Khumbila, Taboche, Cholatse, and Nuptse. Then return back to Namche. Overnight at the hotel.

Day06 Fly to Everest Base Camp, land at Kalapatthar and fly back to Kathmandu. 1.5 hours flight time and 15 minutes ground time.

From Namche Bazar, fly to Everest Base Camp after having breakfast. Flying over the tiny Sherpa settlements like Tengboche, Pheriche, Lobuche, and Gorakshep, the chopper ride flies over Everest Base Camp and lands at Kalapatthar. Based on weather conditions, the stop will be quite limited (about 15 minutes) and it flies all the way to Kathmandu via Lukla. After landing, transfer to the hotel and take a rest. Overnight at the hotel.

Day07 Leisure day, enjoy exploring.

After the luxury trek to Everest base camp, this is a day to relax and explore. We recommend some activities like ziplining near Kathmandu Hill Ridge. Or if you just want to chill yourselves, you have a leisurely day. Overnight at the hotel.

Day08 Final Departure.

You will be dropped off at the airport for the final departure by our airport representative. Thank you for your trust in us.
